Get to know my story

Hi, I’m Felipe, and for the past 20 years I’ve been guiding flutists in developing an efficient and healthy musical practice.

It all began while I was studying for my music degree and realized the lack of professionals dedicated to helping music students facing challenges such as performance anxiety, pain, injuries, and the difficulty of managing the stress inherent in our career. That’s when I decided to become that professional.

I studied music and traditional Chinese medicine in Mexico, and later moved to Buenos Aires to pursue a master’s degree in music therapy with a focus on mental health. It was there that I discovered the Alexander Technique and decided to train as a teacher.

However, I never fully identified with the approach of music therapy in a therapeutic setting, nor with the idea of pursuing acupuncture. That’s when I decided to focus my research 100% on musical education, which is my greatest passion.

I’ve always understood how essential it is to develop a healthy approach to musical practice. My search for that healthy way of playing began long before I discovered the Alexander Technique, when I tried to integrate what I learned in tai chi and meditation classes into my daily flute practice.

I know very well, from my own experience, the pressures and stress involved in playing in orchestras, chamber groups, preparing for competitions and auditions, recording albums, and more. That’s why my work focuses on high-performance musical practice.

If you’ve made it this far, there’s a reason. The best way to find out if you’ve found what you were looking for is to take a couple of lessons. No matter what I tell you, the only way to know if my approach will help you is to try it.

For my part, I promise to do everything possible to guide you in the best way I can.

What matters most to me is providing simple and practical tools that allow you to have a healthy and efficient musical career. I want you to enjoy your musical practice, because I know you chose this profession for the same reasons I did.

Would you like to experience how these tools can improve your musical practice and well-being? I invite you to take the first step and try a lesson. I’ll be delighted to guide you on this path toward a healthier and more efficient practice!

The lessons have helped me greatly in reducing anxiety. Now I feel much more aware of the "here" and "now" when I’m playing. I’ve also learned to be kinder to myself in my daily practice, and I enjoy studying much more.

Thanks to the lessons, I have more confidence in my musical knowledge and skills. I’ve gained better tools to manage my emotions while playing—both positive and negative—more order and organization in my practice, greater respect for the signals my body gives me, and above all, I truly enjoy connecting with my instrument on a new level and from a fresh perspective.
